FreeCAD pad fail?

FreeCAD used to be able to pad an opening and the cover holes for it in one sketch. Is this no longer true? Must we now sketch holes individually, or use a hole array, or some such? And will this be fixed later, or is this now a permanent condition? Should I hold on because a fix is forthcoming, or get used to the new regime? Just asking. Thanks.
