Vigenere Quagmire III (Kryptos I). Come funziona?

You make an enciphering tableau based on a keyword that is extended to make a mixed alphabet. This is put into the first row of the tableau to represent plaintext. In this case the keyword used is "kryptos". Then you have a number of rows of the same mixed alphabet which are shifted by varying amounts, determined by an indicator key. The indicator used is "PALIMPSEST" and it's placed in the first column under the "k" of "kryptos". These rows are used in turn for ciphertext.
